Paul Vickers Gardner Glass Center

The Paul Vickers Gardner Glass Center has been established within the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University as a three-fold educational entity to expand the knowledge of students in the history and advancement of art and technology of glass, to provide resources of information and materials in support of the undergraduate and graduate curricula, and to establish an environment of historical significance within the College that will serve as an entree for external visitors.

Through a program of special lectures, seminars and courses; through the material resources of monographs, manuscripts, historical papers, photographic materials, glass art objects, and videotapes; and through an outreach program that provides a physical space for students, faculty and the public, the Center will honor the wishes of the benefactor to educate students through both the art and technology of glass.
