| I make
paintings that are pictures of me. I do self-portraits. At
first glance they seem easily understood; I am in the act
of doing something. Simple tasks such as drinking, sleeping,
hammering at something. The viewer may wonder why or what
for an are invited to supply their own answers. My art heroes
are Caravaggio, Lucas Cranach, Miles Van der Rohe and, of
course, others too numerous to list. |
